POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides support to the Credential team on major event days only during the 2018 season, including during the INDYCAR Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, Red Bull Air Race and any other events at the IMS.

SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

  • Under the leadership of the Credentials Manager, Credentials Representatives assist in the implementation of the credential plan for each major IMS event including the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Indianapolis, Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, Red Bull Air Race and any other events at IMS. 
  • The Credentials Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining outstanding working relationships and providing excellence to all patrons of the Credential Department. 
  • Assists with the public sale of Bronze Badge credentials for the Month of May.
  • Serve as the first impression for many IMS guests by providing excellent service, especially regarding questions or concerns they may have.
  • Supports the office with tasks such as laminating, alphabetizing, and other duties as assigned, which helps with the organization and maintenance of each event.
  • Executes and distributes all of liability releases, and agreements for credentials procedure through the SCORE software system.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the company and our vision, mission and values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education

  • Working towards a degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or Sport Management is preferred.

Travel/Work Hours

  • Candidate must be able to work event weekends.

Facility Operations/Event Staff: Grounds Crew/Turf Management
Seasonal: Golf Course Turf Maintenance - Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Indianapolis, IN)

POSITION TITLE: Golf Course Turf Maintenance

DEPARTMENT: Brickyard Crossing Golf Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent

POSITION LOCATION: IMS Brickyard Crossing Golf Course

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Seasonal

HOURS:                                  

  • Now through Friday, October 28.
  • 48+ hours a week with paid overtime.
  • Monday – Friday        6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Saturday – Sunday     6:00am – 10:00am

SPECIFIC DUTIES:       

  • With the Supervisor, provides support for Golf Course Maintenance Department. 
  • Maintains fairways and all adjacent Brickyard Crossing Golf Course property.
  • Cuts grass, trims and edges around golf course greens and property using hand mower or power driven lawn mower, weed trimmer and brush cutter.
  • Plants grass, trees, shrubs, or flowers according to instructions and planned design of landscaped area, using hand tools.
  • Applies mulch to designated areas.
  • Pulls weeds around bushes, trees and flower beds.
  • Cleans course grounds and removes litter.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the company and the Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least one season of landscape or golf course maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school graduate or GED with equivalent experience.
  • Applicant must be in good physical health and able to perform moderate manual labor. Must be able to work outside for long periods of time and in all kinds of weather.
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to function as part of a team and understand and follow instructions.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Spanish speaking is desirable but not a requirement.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Seasonal Customer Service Representative is to provide support for all ticket department activities for each major IMS event: INDYCAR Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, Big Machine Brickyard 400, Red Bull Air Race Indianapolis, Lights at the Brickyard and any other ticket-related event.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:       

Customer Service

  • Provide all guests a positive first impression of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by offering superior, individualized guest service. 
  • Communicate effectively with guests via telephone, face-to-face and email to establish their needs efficiently and provide accurate information regarding all IMS events. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external clients.

Ticket Sales and Service

  • Aid guests with the purchase and distribution of tickets, parking and any applicable add-ons.
  • Handle cash responsibly and accurately, with the ability to balance monies by batch to submit to Financial Coordinator.
  • Problem-solve by effectively communicating with guests to locate and deliver will-call/guest tickets.
  • Ability to be flexible and effectively explain premium/seasonal ticket packages to consumers. 
  • High level of knowledge of IMS facility and familiarity with stands, parking areas and special event sites.
  • Accurately operate IMS computer ticket system (SCORE) to process daily ticket orders and payments for packaging and fulfillment of all event tickets.
  • Pull, package and prepare all products for mailing orders for all events.
  • Accurately maintain confidential customer and business information.
  • Operate and maintain remote ticket locations during event times as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

No travel. Position begins in January and spans through the fall of 2018. General office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Candidate must be able to work overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Flexibility and adaptability are key skills needed for this role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

With the Ticket Sales Manager, this position provides a vital role for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sales and Marketing activities.  This position will be responsible for marketing and selling group tickets to the INDYCAR Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, Big Machine Brickyard 400 and the Red Bull Air Race Indianapolis.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Make up to 400 cold calls a week.  Extensive phone work including incoming, outgoing and follow-up calls to new potential leads and former ticketing customers.
  • Reach sales goals via ticket sales to the following group sales markets: businesses, civic organizations, sponsors, car clubs and fraternal organizations. Outreach to lapsed ticket customers for 2018 events.
  • Compliance with proven phone presentations and group sales approach.
  • Participate in sales events as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Tour Bus Driver escorts groups of people around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track.

The driver is responsible for pointing out features of interest and giving other information peculiar to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as assumes responsibility of safety for tour groups.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:          

  • With the Director, provide support for all IMS Museum activities.
  • Escort groups of people on tour bus around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track.
  • Point out features of interest and give other information peculiar to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track.
  • Answer questions of group.
  • Assume responsibility for safety of group.
  • Collect pre-purchased tickets from members of group.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the company and the Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
